Great ammo, fed perfectly through my B.A.D Authority Elite 10.5" with a 4" suppressor (Witt Machine tu tu three) at 20 yards. No blowback, smooth feeding and great quality rounds.

What do you like about the product?

In today’s firearm’s industry, the 5.56x45 NATO round is a versatile and accurate round. I recently had the pleasure of testing a box of Mark 1 ammunition in 55 grain. I set up the test at a 100 yard indoor range to take out the wind and environmental variables. I tested a total of 20 rounds. Ten rounds were fire from a standard 16 inch AR-15, while the last ten were fired from a Mossberg MVP Patrol bolt action.
The Packaging:
I know, I know, packaging isn’t really what most people care about when talking about ammunition, especially 5.56. However, good packaging indicates the pride a company takes in their products, as well as providing protection to the ammunition inside. That being said, the Mark 1 packaging is clean, crisp, and shows attention to detail.
The Round:
The round is a 5.56X45 NATO cartridge. It has a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet with a sealed primer. I inspected each of the 20 rounds, and each one looked exactly the same with no deformations.
The Test Results:
I fired the first ten rounds at the upper target in the picture. This was shot from a standard 16 inch AR-15 rifle with a zero magnification red dot. The rounds cycled perfectly through the rifle, and had zero malfunctions or stoppages. They performed well and better than expected for 55 grain ammunition. There was very little recoil and zero muzzle rise. I inspected the primers of the spent cases for signs of bubbling. These showed zero signs of bubbling, or deformations.

I preceded to fire the last ten rounds through a Mossberg MVP Patrol bolt action rifle with open sights. Even with the sloppy bolt of the action, the rounds performed great and ejected flawlessly. The lower group in the picture is the ones fired from this. It was a larger group, but that was expected from open sights and the sloppy action of the Mossberg. I inspected the primers on these, and found no bubbling or deformations.
Final Results:
I found that the 55 Grain FMJ 5.56x45 rounds from Mark 1 were a major upgrade from the standard rounds you find from your local gun shop. They were well made, and even for a manufactured round they showed the results of a hand loaded round. The company takes great care of providing great ammunition and customer service to the shooter. I think we will be seeing more of this company in the future.
